For the second straight March 11th, SWRMS Volleyball finished an undefeated season with a tournament championship! Congratulations Lady Cougars!

Trinity High School teachers Erin Bass and Elizabeth Tillery recently presented their use of Pre-Advanced Placement as the framework of their English classes at the NC AP College and Career Readiness Conference. Pre-AP builds readiness for AP success through principles such as close observation and analysis, evidenced based writing, higher order questioning, and academic conversation. Participants from throughout the state attended and asked the duo questions about implementation.



March is National Nutrition Month - thank you RCSS School Nutrition Team!


Last week, NC State Senator Dave Craven visited Eastern Randolph High to honor Principal Dr. Susan Chappell, his former 5th-grade teacher. He recognized her 30 years of service in RCSS and her achievement as RCSS's 2024-2025 Principal of the Year and regional semi-finalist.


There will be a teacher workday on Friday, March 14 - no school for students.


The opening reception for Youth Art Month was held yesterday at the Randolph Arts Guild in downtown Asheboro. Student artwork will be on display throughout March. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Over the past few days, Elementary Battle of the Books Teams across the district have competed virtually in the preliminary competition to determine which schools will advance to the final district competition. All of the participating schools did a fantastic job. We are proud of all of the teams!
Please join me in congratulating the following schools on advancing to the District Final Elementary Battle of the Books: Coleridge, Franklinville, Hopewell, Level Cross, RMS 5th grade, Seagrove, Southmont, and Trindale. The competition will take place on Thursday, March 13, at 9:00 a.m. at Randolph Community College.
