Over the past few days, Elementary Battle of the Books Teams across the district have competed virtually in the preliminary competition to determine which schools will advance to the final district competition. All of the participating schools did a fantastic job. We are proud of all of the teams! Please join me in congratulating the following schools on advancing to the District Final Elementary Battle of the Books: Coleridge, Franklinville, Hopewell, Level Cross, RMS 5th grade, Seagrove, Southmont, and Trindale. The competition will take place on Thursday, March 13, at 9:00 a.m. at Randolph Community College.

RCC is canceling Thursday evening’s Apprenticeship Randolph Community Night from 5-7 p.m. They will not be rescheduling. The due date for Apprenticeship Randolph applications is March 10th and they have several company Open Houses planned between now and then.

"Leadership Reads" is an initiative within the RCSS where members of the central office Leadership Team visit elementary schools to read to students. This morning, Superintendent Dr. Stephen Gainey had the opportunity to read to students at Archdale Elementary School.
