Seventh-grade students from all seven Randolph County Middle Schools visited Randolph Community College on Monday, March 9 to explore their course offerings. Students explored welding, automotive, photography, healthcare, and other hands-on stations during their campus tour.

For the first time in many years, we had to go through three tie-breaker rounds before determining the winner—an incredible testament to the preparation, teamwork, and reading dedication of our students. Equitable Services Meeting Information

Tenth-grade students from across Randolph County recently visited the Richard Petty Education Center at Randolph Community College to explore the diverse certificate, diploma, and associate degree opportunities offered in the Automotive Systems Technology program. The visit included a tour of the Randolph County School System’s bus garage. Wendy Anderson, the RCSS Transportation Director, facilitated engaging hands-on activities with her staff, allowing students to gain insights into various career paths within the automotive industry.

Youth Art Month - Art Reception Recap!

The opening reception for Youth Art Month was held yesterday at the Randolph Arts Guild in downtown Asheboro. Student artwork will be on display throughout March. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Today, we join schools across the country in celebrating Read Across America, a nationwide literacy celebration. Reading builds vocabulary, background knowledge, empathy, and opportunity. A strong reading culture strengthens everything else we do instructionally.

Congratulations to Christopher Maner, Ag teacher at SWRHS, for being named West Central Region Agricultural Teacher of the Year! One of eight selected statewide—one per region—he will be honored this summer at the CTE Summer Conference in Winston-Salem.

Tonight, Twelfth-grade student-athletes from Asheboro City Schools and the Randolph County School System were honored with "Sportsmanship" awards at the Randolph Sports Council Winter Banquet held at Black Powder Smokehouse in Asheboro. The event featured guest speaker Mr. Brad Alford, Director for the Office of Athletics at the NC Department of Public Instruction.

Congratulations to the All-County Band students from the middle and high schools of Randolph County School System and Asheboro City Schools on their outstanding performance at Friday night’s concert at Asheboro High School.
