Approved at the March 17 Board of Education meeting, Southeastern Randolph Middle School will adjust its schedule for the 2025–2026 school year. Start time stays at 7:50 a.m.; release time changes to 2:55 p.m. This aligns with district times and improves transportation.

NC Department of Instruction's Summer Multilingual/Standards Conference is underway. Educators from across the state learned from RCSS leaders Sam Colli-Chan, Laura Porcelli Luquet and Roxanne Taylor who shared copious strategies used with Multilingual Learners in the district.

At last night’s Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting, the County Commissioners approved another large increase for the Randolph County School System's local budget for the 2025-2026 school year. This action by the County Commissioners is absolutely fantastic for the Randolph County School System and our efforts to put students first in all we do!! "Thank you" to the County Commissioners for your ongoing support of our schools, staff members, and students. Also, the members of our Board of Education deserve a lot of credit and a big "thank you" for their hard work throughout this budget process.

ABOUT NC COLLEGE CONNECT
NC College Connect is a groundbreaking initiative offering direct college admission to eligible high school seniors across the state for the 2025–2026 school year! Open to public high school seniors with a weighted GPA of 2.8 or higher who meet course requirements, students will be matched with colleges where they already qualify — no traditional application needed.
The program now includes more UNC System schools, NC Independent Colleges and Universities and NC Community Colleges. Students are directly admitted and can accept offers by completing a short form on CFNC.org.

RCSS school nurses perform vision, dental and hearing screenings for students in Kindergarten through grade 12
RCSS school nurses help students manage many different health conditions, from Asthma to Seizures, to ensure they are able to come to class to learn.
