This year, we were excited to have four of our high schools (SWRHS, THS, WHS, and PGHS) participate. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm, preparation, and teamwork from each team. The growth of the High School Battle of the Books program across RCSS is exciting, and we are grateful for the students, coaches, and media specialists who continue to support and expand this opportunity.

For the first time in many years, we had to go through three tie-breaker rounds before determining the winner—an incredible testament to the preparation, teamwork, and reading dedication of our students. These funds are used to provide special education services to identified children with disabilities who live in Randolph County School System District. Tenth-grade students from across Randolph County recently visited the Richard Petty Education Center at Randolph Community College to explore the diverse certificate, diploma, and associate degree opportunities offered in the Automotive Systems Technology program. The visit included a tour of the Randolph County School System’s bus garage. Wendy Anderson, the RCSS Transportation Director, facilitated engaging hands-on activities with her staff, allowing students to gain insights into various career paths within the automotive industry.
