On Tuesday, September 15, Honduras and Costa Rica celebrated their Independence Days! To recognize these special occasions, our 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade students represented Honduras, while our Kindergarten students represented Costa Rica. Students enjoyed learning about and celebrating a little bit of their teachers’ home countries, cultures, and traditions.
Our hallways came alive with flags, torches, and smiles as our students enjoyed a mini parade celebrating the Independence Days of Honduras and Costa Rica! 
Students proudly represented these countries while learning about the rich traditions and customs that make each culture unique. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to celebrate, learn, and share in the cultures of their teachers’ home countries.
