The students at John Lawrence Elementary School learned about building their confidence and creativity through their Dot Day celebrations!  The media specialist and art teacher worked together to create a collaborative mural project.  Students listened to the story The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.  They were then invited to make their mark by creating their own dot self portrait on the collaborative Dot Day mural.  Staff and students alike added their self portraits to the wall and the beauty has continued to grow!  Students and staff were also encouraged to wear polka dots for the special celebration, and students sang a Dot Day song in music class.  JLE loves when our school community can work together to make something beautiful!
