Trinity High School Theatre Earns State Championship and International Invitation

March 13-15, 2026, students from Trinity High School Theatre department (Troupe 4305) participated in the North Carolina State Thespian Festival held at East Carolina University. During this highly competitive event, Trinity’s production of The Amish Project earned First Place in the state, making Trinity High School Theatre the State Champion One Act.

In addition to this outstanding achievement, the production received a perfect score from adjudicators, an exceptionally rare distinction that reflects the remarkable talent, dedication, and professionalism of these students.

As a result of their state championship performance, Trinity High School Theatre has been invited to perform at the International Thespian Festival this June at Indiana University. This prestigious opportunity allows our students to represent not only their school and district, but the entire state of North Carolina on an international stage.

We are incredibly proud of these students and their director for their hard work, commitment, and excellence in the performing arts. Their success highlights the strength of our theatre program and serves as an inspiration across our schools and community.
