SWRHS students turned in a solid showing at the Regional Postal Competition, competing against teams and individuals from South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
Out of 42 teams, SWRHS earned a 17th-place finish. In individual rankings among 349 competitors, Riley Clapp placed 28th, followed by Holden Deaton in 58th, Davis Miller in 99th, and Madison “Maddie” Ligon in 198th. Notably, Ligon began competing only in September, making her performance especially impressive.
When compared on a national level, the results continue to reflect strong effort in a much larger field. Out of 200 teams nationwide, SWRHS ranked 103rd. Among 1,810 individual competitors, Clapp placed 177th, Deaton 364th, Miller 674th, and Ligon 1,130th.
These results highlight the dedication and progress of the SWRHS team as they continue to gain experience and compete at higher levels.
