The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program is designed for Multilingual Learners (MLs) whose first language is not English and who need to improve their English proficiency. In this program, MLs work with a licensed ESL teacher to enhance their skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Our ESL program is content-based, meaning students learn English through core instructional subjects. Teachers employ a variety of research-based strategies to help students develop their English language skills and understand content simultaneously.
