Uwharrie Ridge 6–12 welcomed the RCC Truck Driving School on campus Wednesday! Students learned about the qualifications, career opportunities, and earning potential in the trucking industry — and even got to explore the truck (with a few horn honks too!). 🚛

Students had the opportunity to explore all the amazing programs offered at Randolph Community College, see hands-on demonstrations, and talk with instructors about how these classes can help shape their future careers.

High school students from Uwharrie Ridge 6–12 visited Catawba College last week to explore the programs and campus life the college has to offer. Students were excited to learn that Catawba provides small class sizes similar to Uwharrie’s—perfect for a more personalized learning experience.

Catawba offers degrees in a wide range of fields, including Business, Nursing, and even Popular Music! 🎶 Admissions counselors also discussed the importance of applying early for FAFSA and shared information about the generous financial aid and scholarships available to incoming students.

Students from Uwharrie Ridge 6–12 had an exciting day of hands-on learning as they visited the A&T Farm! They explored dairy farming, poultry farming, and got up close with a variety of small animals 🐐🐮🐥.

The adventure didn’t stop there — they were warmly welcomed by SW Randolph High School and the FFA officers for a deep dive into the high school AG program! Students enjoyed a delicious hotdog lunch 🌭 and explored AG mechanics, animal science, and horticulture. 🌻🔧
