Today, we celebrated students who hit their monthly attendance goal. What better way to celebrate than a dance party?! These students never miss a chance to cha-cha and never miss a day of school (they also stay all day long)! A big shout out to our classroom winners too! These teachers had the most students present daily. Way to go Stars! We are so happy to see your smiling faces everyday.

Today, the Archdale Police Department talked to our fifth grade students about online safety. Here are some tips for parents to keep your students safe: 1. Set clear boundaries: Establish rules about which websites and apps are safe to use, how much screen time is allowed, and what kind of content is appropriate. 2. Use parental controls: Utilize built-in parental controls on devices and apps to monitor activity, block inappropriate content, and set time limits on usage. 3. Encourage open communication: Foster a habit of regular conversations about online experiences. Let kids know they can come to you if something feels uncomfortable or unsafe. Talk about the potential risk of cyberbullying and the lasting impact of their digital footprint. 4. Social media apps have minimum age requirements (typically 13). The minimum age for social media apps is set to ensure that users have the maturity and understanding necessary to engage, responsibly and safely in the digital world.
