The AIG reading students at John Lawrence Elementary Students have spent time this week exploring the history and significance of the Christmas Truce of 1914. They have utilized their depth and complexity icons to help gain a better understanding of this historical event, and have had shared discussions about the power of peace and unity during challenging times.

The early release day on Friday, December 20 will mark the beginning of our Winter break. Students will return to school on January 2.

This week 5th grade participated in “Fairy Tale Court Rooms” where they had two different perspectives of a fairy tale and had to be the lawyer of their character. They were instructed to defend their character using facts and their ability to compare and contrast setting, events and characters within the story that affected the plot of the overall story.
Our whole school practiced for the musical tonight! The building opens at 5:15! We can't wait to see you!
