On Saturday, October 19 , Mrs. Amy Smith made a trip to the mountains with the donated supplies from Franklinville Elementary for the flood victims in Western North Carolina. The supplies were distributed in Black Mountain and Swannanoa NC. She was able to distribute the four different donation sites. Everyone was grateful for the supplies. Thank you so much for loving on your fellow North Carolinians.

Thank you to Junior Achievement of the Triad for providing business and economics lessons to our 5th grade students today.

5th Grade enjoyed Root Beer Floats today while investigating changes in matter. They made predictions on the states of matter of each ingredient before and after mixing them. They enjoy Mrs. Bridgeman's science lessons because they never know what may happen!

Thank you to Eastern Randolph High School football players for coming and greeting our students at Franklinville today! All of our students are cheering them on in their homecoming game this evening!

Principals Ms. Kerri Cole (Coleridge ES), Ms. Katie Henderson (Franklinville ES), Ms. Angela Harris (Ramseur ES) Ms. Jamie Horner (Liberty ES), and Ms. Melanie Richey participated in classroom walkthroughs as they conducted a "Vertical Visit" at ALL 5 schools today!

Teachers’ Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of the role played by teachers all over the world. They dedicate their lives to making an impact on the way children learn and grow and turn into adults.

Our Franklinville students, staff, families, and community members are AMAZING! Thank you to the outpouring of love for our Western North Carolina neighbors. Supplies will be delivered to different distribution sites throughout the area. We appreciate each of you and everything you have done to support those in need!

Thank you to all of our families who attended our first parental engagement night tonight! Students "traveled" around the world and were able to learn about different countries and books that are connected to those places. We enjoyed watching all of our students and families learn about reading and how reading can take you on adventures throughout the world!
