As a result of the coronavirus crisis, the Randolph County School System (RCSS), along with all other public schools in North Carolina, closed its doors on March 16 and did not return for on-campus instruction for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, which ended on June 9. With the closure of schools, RCSS staff members worked diligently and quickly to prepare a Remote Learning Plan, a feeding plan for students and families, and many other initiatives. Our staff members continue to work with vigilance to adapt to the ever-changing landscape in public education during this time of crisis.
Since early March 2020, RCSS has produced, compiled, distributed, and posted vital coronavirus-related information to help keep students, staff members, families, community members, and other stakeholders apprised of ongoing developments regarding our school system's response to the crisis and our plans going forward. Our inventory of these helpful resources - including web links, videos, documents, and guidance from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction - can be found below.
