Dear Wheatmore Family,
        It has been a privilege to have served in a leadership role at Wheatmore since it opened in the fall of 2009.
Now, as Principal, I am excited to continue this journey in partnership with you and our WHS community .  We have made tremendous progress in our academic endeavors over the past two years, and look forward to even greater results with the introduction of our student focused “target time” and our “roundtable” format for teacher collaboration.  We have built in targeted learning time during our student day that will assist our students in meeting their academic goals while providing
our students an opportunity to take part in club activities or other high interest enrichment programs. This time will also
allow our teachers to work together to plan instruction and assessments that focus on the learning targets that enable students to better understanding the curriculum.

        Wheatmore has hit the fields and courts running since our opening two years ago.  Our athletic teams have already produced conference championships and qualified for the state playoffs, while our Marching Band and other cultural arts programs have excelled in their own areas of competition.  With the continued support of our booster programs Wheatmore High School is on track to have the finest extracurricular programs for your children to participate in.

        In closing, we at Wheatmore are blessed to have tremendous  community support and parental involvement.  Please continue to communicate with your child’s teachers and guidance counselor as they move forward to meeting the challenges of the 21^st century learner.   

2011-2012 is going to be a great year for Wheatmore High!
