The Man in the Arena

Every athlete must have BOTH completed forms on file to participate in THS Sports.

  • A player must have been in attendance for at least 85 percent of the previous semester at an approved high school.
  • A student must have passed three courses during the preceding semester for schools on the "block" schedule or five courses in the traditional school schedule. A student must also be promoted to the next grade level.
  • Residence rule:
    Board Policy 4120 states that the student must attend school in the district in which
    the biological Parent or legal custodian resides. The parent must provide 2 proofs of residency pertaining to the
    home. Domicile (where the student actually sleeps at night) must be with the biological parent or
    legal custodian and they must attend school where the parent lives. 
     - If an address is given to you and it is found out to be false (not where the child sleeps at night), then
    the student will be immediately removed from the school and if this student is an athlete he/she will
    not be able to participate in sports for 365 days.
  • Felony Policy:
    Trinity High School students are considered role models who are at all times expected to represent
    THS’s high standards, during school as well as outside of school. Any student who is charged with
    a felony will not be able to participate in any THS activities, which include but are not limited to
    athletics, marching band, theater, clubs and honor organizations, until all charges are cleared. Any
    student who is convicted of a felony will not be able to participate in any THS activities, which
    include but are not limited to athletics, band, theater, clubs and honor organizations, for the school
    year. 
  • Drug and Alcohol Policy
    If a student is charged with a drug or alcohol violation, the parent and student will be required to
    attend SAFE counseling sessions. The student will be suspended from any THS activities, which
    include but are not limited to athletics, marching band, theater, clubs and honor organizations until
    the counseling sessions have been completed and verified. The student will be placed on a school
    contract which will be enforced for the school year. If a second violation occurs, the student will not
    be able to participate in athletics, marching band, etc. as stated above.
