Assistant Principals

Michelle Maxfield

Welcome to Liberty Elementary School. As a former fourth grade teacher at Liberty and proud parent of a Liberty student, I am excited to join Liberty this year as an assistant principal. Education is my passion, which began at the age of 5, when I met the smartest woman in the world - my Kindergarten teacher. It is my personal belief and vision that all students can learn, and with teachers as amazing as the ones we have at Liberty, the sky is the limit. Success for all... whatever it takes! At Liberty, we are a family, a community, a team; and we are all committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure ALL our students learn and grow, reaching their greatest potential every day.

Greetings,

It is my pleasure to be working with the administrative staff here at Liberty Elementary School.  Serving as an Assistant Principal, I look forward to working with the students, faculty and staff, parents, and Liberty community to ensure the success of all students attending Liberty Elementary School.

Currently, I also serve Southeastern Randolph Middle School in Ramseur, NC.  I have been the Principal of Grays Chapel Elementary School in Franklinville, NC, Assistant Principal at Eastern Randolph High School in Ramseur, NC and taught at the high school level in the Alamance-Burlington School System.

I hold a master’s degree and licensure in school administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Bachelor of Science degree in biology/minor in chemistry from Bennett College in Greensboro, NC, as well as graduated from the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium for Aspiring Principals Program.

Thank you for entrusting your precious children to be educated by this wonderful institution.
