Welcome! My name is Christy Embree and I am the Media Specialist here at Franklinville Elementary. I previously was a teacher assistant in a 3rd grade class at Franklinville until returning to college full time and receiving an Elementary Education degree from North Carolina A & T State University. Upon graduation I came back to Franklinville and taught 5th grade for 3 years and now have been in the Media Center going on 3 years. I have also completed my Master's in Library Science from North Carolina A & T State University. My husband is also a Media Specialist in Randolph County. 
We have 3 beautiful children, Colton, 11 years old and Viletta, 8 years old and our newest edition, Magnum. My oldest son is attending Southeast Randolph Middle School and my daughter attends Franklinville Elementary. Although I thoroughly enjoyed teaching in the classroom I feel my home is in the library. I am very blessed to be able to now teach all the children in the school. I love to see their smiling faces in the hall, lunch room, and coming to the library. The joy of being able to "expand the minds of children one page at a time" is the most gratifying job I could ever have.
