Located on Deep River, the village of Franklinville was once a flourishing cotton and roller mill town. Franklinville School opened as a one room structure in 1845. The school eventually became a K-12 school with successful athletic teams and considerable school pride. When consolidation became popular, however, Franklinville sent its high school students to Eastern Randolph High School. Years later, in 1993, with the opening of Southeastern Middle School, Franklinville became an elementary school servicing grades K-5.
Our school mascot is the cardinal. The colors are red and white. We pride ourselves on soaring to excellence.
