Class Rules and Expectations:
The Occupational Course of Study is a functional curriculum, that helps students learn to develop functional skills to be able to live independently and obtain competitive paid employment. Students are required to take an End-of-Course Exam in the following: English I ( it will be given after they have completed both English I and II), Algebra I, Biology, and the 10th Grade-Writing Test. Please note: They are taking the exams - with accommodations - but the scores will not count 25% of their grade in that course. That requirement was waived by the State Board of Education. They do not have to PASS the EOC to get credit for the course, but they do have to pass the course.
I expect all of my students to put forth their best effort in my class.
Students will be expected to be on time to each class period. Being tardy to class is not acceptable.
Students will be expected to work in this class from bell to bell. Therefore, packing up before class is over will not be accepted.
I expect everyone to do his or her best and work hard at all times.
I expect them to be on their best behavior in the classroom, outside the classroom, and to represent Eastern Randolph well in their community-based experience.
I expect everyone to do their best and pass this class successfully.
I expect you to come to see me when you are absent to get missed work, and set a time to stay after school to make up the class.
REMEMBER after 5 absences, if you do not make up the time, you will fail the course!
**Take responsibility for your own actions. Be honest and truthful at all times.**
