Archdale-Trinity Middle School is fortunate to have Penny Stewart as our school nurse. 

My name is Penny Stewart and I have been a nurse for almost 30 years. I have been a school nurse for the last 13 years and serve 4 schools in the Archdale Trinity area - New Market, Braxton Craven, Hopewell and A-TMS.

There are many children in Randolph County with chronic illnesses such as epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, and severe allergies. I visit schools daily to assess and coordinate the care for these children.

I also see students with medical problems and those who need medical guidance and keep track of communicable diseases. Sometimes I go to a student's home to better understand and help them deal with a medical issue. Another part of my job is educating the facuclty at my schools on student medical issues

This is a very busy job and I love it. I am fortunate to work with great staffs in each of my schools. They even tolerate my constant cleaning of the telephones and reminding them to wash their hands!

October - Thursdays 8:00-2:50 & Fridays as needed

November - Thursdays 8:00-2:50 & Fridays 8:00-2:50
