BOARD OF EDUCATION MAKES DECISION ON SNOW MAKE-UP DAYS
At the special called Randolph County Board of Education meeting on Friday, February 21, 2014, board members voted to absorb the missed school day on February 14 into the extra instructional hours built into the 2013-14 school calendar. Furthermore, should any additional school days be missed during the balance of the 2013-14 school year, those days will be absorbed into the extra hours built into the 2013-14 school calendar. At this point, the only additional calendar change was the designation of June 12 as an "optional teacher workday". As a result of this decision, April 14 is no longer a student day. Also, staff members employed for nine or ten months do not have to report to work on April 14.
