TRINITY HIGH SCHOOL AFJROTC NEWS RELEASE 2012

 Trinity High School Air Force Junior ROTC and its instructors recently received special AFJROTC Headquarters honors. The Trinity High School AFJROTC program earned the Distinguished Unit Award for 2011 - 2012. This award recognizes the personal growth and accomplishments of the cadets, contributions of the instructors as mentors of the cadets, and the great support of each school and local community. This award is limited to only the best of the best of 882 Air Force Junior ROTC units world wide. Additionally, Trinity instructors Lt Col Ray Carter and SMSgt Jim Hedgecock were both selected to receive the AFJROTC 2012 Outstanding Instructor Award with Merit. Lt Col Carter and SMSgt Hedgecock were recognized as representing the top 10% of all officer and Non Commissioned Officer instructors within the AFJROTC program. Formal announcements and certificates were forwarded to Trinity High School from Colonel Chris L. Wheeler, Director, Air Force JROTC for presentation.
