New Uwharrie school has name/logo back button

During the January 2017 Board of Education meeting, a proposal to expand Uwharrie Middle School to a 6–12 school with a three-pronged focus was approved. A school of public service, a school of technology and design, and a school of leadership and communication will encompass a broad range of career interests and allow instruction to be delivered creatively through the lens of each respective career cluster. Students will have optionsof accessing classes through various modes of delivery.

On February 6, 2017, the County Commissioners approved the funding needed for this project.
