In his most recent interview from February, Superintendent Dr. Stephen Gainey updates the plan for converting Uwharrie Middle to a grade 6-12 school. He also discusses the Youth Art Month Exhibit coming in March, the All-County Band Concert on February 24, “Read Across America” on March 2, the Randolph Sports Council’s Sportsmanship Awards, the 2017 Spelling Bee, recognition of our school counselors, the “Extra Mile Award” for CTE Coordinator Misty Wolfe, the Athena Leadership Award for Title I Parent Coordinator/ESL Program Liaison Roxanne Taylor, and more.
