Grays Chapel celebrates Reading Challenge with Torch Run back button

Grays Chapel Torch Run

Grays Chapel Elementary hosted its first Go for the Gold Reading Challenge Celebration with a Torch Walk on the Grays Chapel Track on Wednesday, November 9th. The event showcased the winning country determined by the total number of reading minutes the students have completed this first quarter. Also showcased were the top readers based on the number of minutes read in all countries participating in the GC Olympics.  These readers all participated in the Torch Run and experienced the support of the other students and countries through the cheering and celebration of all the minutes they have read. After this first quarter, the school has completed ¼ of the amount of minutes needed to meet or surpass the goal of ONE MILLION MINUTES!  We are so proud of our students and so thankful for our parents and community that support the school and all of its literacy goals!
