Level Cross seeking book donations for "Give 5, Read 5" back button

Level Cross Elementary is joining schools across the state in a program called “Give Five-Read Five”. Research has shown that if students read at least five books during the summer they can reduce the amount of reading loss that usually occurs during the summer months.

In order to help prevent this summer reading loss, we are holding a book drive during the month of May for this program. We are asking parents and businesses to donate at least 5 gently used books to our program. These books can be dropped off in the box outside of the office.

This summer, we plan to have a “Book Bus” that will drive to neighborhoods and central locations in Level Cross where the bus will stop to give books to Level Cross students. Notification of Book Bus visits will be given once the dates have been finalized.
