Trinity and Wheatmore AFJROTC Receives Award

The Air Force Junior ROTC Cadets of NC-941, made up of students from Trinity High and Wheatmore High, received the Best Marching Group Award for their participation in the recent High Point Holiday Festival Parade on November 22.

On December 3, Mrs. Sharon Smith of the High Point Chamber of Commerce presented the plaque to Cadet Mark Royall who was Commander of Troops for the parade.  Mrs. Smith noted that this is the first time Best Marching Group has gone to a Junior ROTC unit.  It usually is awarded to a band or other similar marching entry.
