Liberty 5th graders attend NCDPI Student Leadership Institute

Liberty NCDPI Institute Liberty NCDPI Institute

Liberty Elementary was selected for a second year to go to the NCDPI Student Leadership Institute at Pfeiffer University. The institute focuses on student leadership through service.

Kaylan Currin, Amelia Lackey, Madison Hicks, Zoey Pugh, and Kaylee Shepherd were selected to go this summer. They are rising 5th graders and members of the Liberty Service Learning Club.

Last year, the club focused on poverty by creating a clothing closet and community garden. This summer while walking around the university, the students were inspired to beautify their school and community through the focus of recycling and picking up litter this year.
