Health Insurance Enrollment is 10/15-11/18

IMPORTANT--PLEASE READ!!!

Failure to take action may result in paying a higher premium for Health Insurance.

Annual Enrollment for the State Health Plan will be held October 15-November 18, 2015.   Any changes made during the Annual Enrollment will go into effect January 1, 2016.

This Enrollment is for Health Insurance ONLY.  If you see information from the State Health Plan regarding NCFLEX (for Dental, Vision, etc.), please disregard since this does not apply to employees of the Randolph County School System.

If you are enrolled in the Enhanced 80/20 Plan or the Consumer-Directed Health Plan (CDHP), you will need to complete the Wellness Premium Credits again this year in order to maintain a lower premium.  Wellness Premium Credits include:

Take or update your Health Assessment (complete if you have not taken or updated between November 1, 2014 and November 18, 2015).  You can complete your Health Assessment online or call 1-800-817-7044 and complete over the phone.

Select a Primary Care Provider (PCP) for you and all covered dependents AND watch a short PCMH (Patient-Centered Medical Homes) video.

If you do not complete the Wellness Premium Credits and are enrolled in the Enhanced 80/20 Plan or the Consumer-Directed Health Plan (CDHP), you will remain in that plan, but your premium will be higher.

Employees who are currently on the Traditional 70/30 Plan and wish to remain on this plan without making changes will not need to take action during this Annual Enrollment.  Keep in mind, the annual deductible, rates, copays, etc. are all increasing for 2016.

In order to make changes, switch plans and/or complete your Wellness Premium Credit activities, the State Health Plan will require you to go online and follow the instructions listed below:

Go to the State Health Plan website at www.shpnc.org.

Click "Enroll Now"  to log into the eEnroll system.

Login ID:  Your first name, the first initial of your last name and the last 4 digits of your social security number. Example for John Doe with social security number 111-22-3333, Login ID is JOHND3333.  (If you have previously worked in another school system and have problems with your Login ID, you may need to use your first name, first 2 initials of your last name and the last 4 digits of your social security number). 

Initial Password:  Your social security number without any spaces or dashes.  This is your INITIAL password which should be used to log in.  You will be prompted to create a new password. 

Follow the instructions on each screen.

Review your personal information and make changes, if needed.  (The State Health Plan had system issues a few months ago so make sure your information is correct).

Attest and complete the applicable wellness activities, to reduce your monthly premium.*

When you complete your online enrollment, review the benefits you have selected.  If you are OK with your elections, you will be prompted to save your enrollment.  Print your confirmation page as proof that you have successfully made your changes. 

You can also call Customer Service at 1-855-859-0966 and they will assist you in making your changes.

*NOTE:  If you complete the Health Assessment online, it will take 5-10 days for the credit to process.  Therefore, this credit will not be listed on your Summary of Benefits page.  When you complete your Health Assessment online, I would suggest printing the page that shows your Assessment is complete as back-up.  You can get a confirmation page by clicking on "My Health" on the left-hand side of page and click on "Messages" in the drop-down box.    If you call 1-800-817-7044 and complete your Health Assessment by phone, you will need to write down the Case ID Number, the date you called and the name of the person you talked to as back-up.

 The State Health Plan is in the process of mailing Enrollment information to all members, which will include a description of each plan, rates for monthly premiums, along with other important information.  Please read this information carefully so you can determine which plan would work best for you.   You will notice in this information there are rate increases, copay changes, etc. for 2016.

There are also informative videos you can watch that will explain how each Plan works.  These videos can be found on the State Health Plan website at www.shpnc.org under 2016 Annual Enrollment.

Open Enrollment will end November 18, 2015.  You will need to make your changes by this date.  The State will NOT allow any changes or make exceptions after this date.
