Uwharrie Ridge student selected for NC Honors Chorus
Uwharrie Ridge Six-Twelve
Posted On: Wednesday, November 15, 2017

One of the highest achievements in middle school chorus is auditioning and being selected for the North Carolina Honors Chorus. Over 900 students across the state of North Carolina auditioned for the 2017 North Carolina Honors Chorus and only 139 students made the ensemble.

Many students had to score at least a 96 out of 100 to even make this ensemble. Uwharrie Ridge student Jylian Taylor was one of the students who scored in the top range and was selected for the 2017 North Carolina Honors Chorus. She was the only student from either the Randolph County School System or Asheboro City Schools to make the North Carolina Honors Chorus.

Congratulations to Jylian Taylor on her wonderful achievement.
